In nineteen-eighty-five, Daniel Brooks Grove began a proprietorship that came to be known as FRESH VIEW, doing professional decorative painting, and upholstery repair, in the Greater Cincinnati area. Both venues became very successful for him, and each expanded into its own neighboring fields:

The painting of decorative, "faux" finishes opened up opportunities for Dan to design and produce murals in some of the most beautiful homes in Cincinnati. This in turn led to commissions in portraiture, (of people and the pets they love) as well as the sale of his paintings of landscapes, still life, and pastoral scenes.

Upholstery repairs, which began primarily with automobiles, eventually led Dan into the restoration of fine leather furniture through which he has gained an excellent reputation for the highest quality of craftsmanship, and which he also approaches as an artist. He now receives leather jackets and apparel from other parts of the country, sent to him with rips and damaged areas that are brought back to life with the care and knowledge of his quarter century's experience. Torn or scratched, faded or stained, old or new, leather can be repaired to regain all of its supple and rich luster, for a fraction of the cost of replacement.

So Daniel Brooks Grove begins the second twenty-five years with a thankful heart and great appreciation for the wisdom of those who have taught and guided him since 1985.
